Happy spring everybody!

& i've been keeping all the letters that i wrote to you;
HEEYYYY.

So last night, I went to the Michael Buble concert in Moline. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm deathly in love with Michael Buble. Most teenage girls love Justin Bieber, but nah, I'm going for the 35-year-old.

MICHAEL BUBLE GRABBED MY HAND.

no joke.

We got floor tickets, but they were in the 33rd row, which was a ways back. The concert was amazing, he had the crowd on its feet, singing and dancing and making jokes (he did a Michael Jackson impersonation complete with a moonwalk.. swoon). I was so into the music that I didn't even notice they had set up a mini stage in the middle of the floor RIGHT NEXT TO ME.

Then he started singing and walking through the crowd toward the mini stage. And of course a flock of people surrounded the mini stage, including me.

He was singing "Home", when HE LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND SANG THAT LINE. The line I used for the title of the set. I screamed and reached my hand out.

AND HE GRABBED IT.

Needless to say I was on cloud nine ever since and I STILL AM! Probably the best night of my life.

hi. <3
Hey guys! So, thanks for all the "break a leg"s and "good luck"s for the musical, Fame! It went great, and I teared up a little on closing night. My new default picture is actually of me on closing night. Yeah, thank god for figure skating, because I would never have been able to do that move in those heels otherwise. My character was a Hispanic student at the Performing Arts high school, majoring as a dancer. And unfortunately, she's also a druggie.. lol yeah, I die in the end. xD

PROM is this weekend! I'm so psyched! I already have a game plan.. for makeup, I'm going to the counter at Sephora and asking for a "free makeover".. smoky eyes, bold lips, the whole deal. It's free and I won't have to pay for it ;) And then, for hair, my aunt happens to be a hairdresser, so I won't have to pay for that, either! Plus, my dress was only 65 bucks (but it's beautiful, don't worry), so I definitely saved a lot of money! Now all I need is a boutinere (spelling..? haha) for Stephen. :)

Let's see.. what else.. oh, my HUGE family! It's doing good :) My sister started high school, and the twins finally grew up and stopped being so crazy about sci-fi. We got a new dog, a Border Collie named Ruby. And my brother Neil has a fish named Sharky (don't ask...).

SO yeah, that's about it. Hopefullly one day I can make a set without having to catch you guys up. I'd like to get in the habit of making more sets, but right now I've got some algebra homework to do! Polynomial long division.... Sigh....

remember me?

remember me?
Oh, hi.

Yes, I kind of forgot about polyvore. my life has been so busy. I've missed you all so much, my inbox was literally flooded with messages from up to 9 months ago and I felt terrible. I've been a terrible friend, not checking up. But so much has changed. SO. MUCH.

So, if you're here just to comment "OMG I LUV THIS SET CAN U FAVE SOME OF MINE" (do people still do that on polyvore?), goodbye. But if I actually know you and miss you and you were one of my close friends on here, then keep reading.

..So. Where to even begin?

Well, this is my junior year. So. Much. Has. Changed. Not even kidding. So much. So, I guess I'll start with the biggest announcement.

..I QUIT FIGURE SKATING.

Oh yeah. Shocked, huh? If you know me, you know that figure skating was pretty much my life.

It was. That was the problem. It ate up my whole life, made my body exhausted and I was just fed up with the petty competitions off the ice. So I quit.

Honestly? Best decision of my life. I felt so free afterwards. Freeeeedom, man.

Anyway, I've found love through other things. I was on the varsity volleyball team this year, and guess what? I GOT THE LEAD IN THE SCHOOL MUSICAL. All you haters who said I couldn't sing.. suck on that.

The musical is Fame this year. Yeah, Fame! I play Carmen Diaz, the druggie student who's a dancer. I die in the end, lawlz. Oh well. I had to dye my hair dark brown. Opening night is TONIGHT!!!! I'm so excited! and NERVOUS!!

Anyway, what else? Oh, I kinda got a boyfriend. :)

His name is Stephen. And he's amazing. He's like my best friend. Words just can't describe him. We've been dating since January. Actually, we've been friends since freshman year, but this year.. I don't know, we just clicked and realized how perfect we are for each other.

Prom is coming up. Yeah, I got my dress. It was $65 at JCPenney. And it's beautiful. I honestly don't care that it wasn't expensive or designer. I love it.

I let go of some of my toxic friends. Some of them turned to things I didn't like, like drugs. Some of them just were never there for me. I started over, clean, fresh slate, and my theater family has honestly been the best friends I've ever had. Seriously, when you're performing, you're a family.

I miss you all so much.

So.

So.

Much.

More than you ever know. I miss having a network of friends all over the world. It made me feel loved, and frankly, kinda cool.. cause who else can say they have friends from all over American & earth? :)

So comment & let me know what's been going on in your lives. I'd looove to hear. :)
keep drinking coffee, stare me down across the table

LOVETHATSONG. SO. MUCH.

okay, hey, i know i haven't been on polyvore in two months, and i know i pretty much suck. but cut me some slack, i've been enjoying summer. daily trips to the lake and the Y pool, shopping at the farmer's market, looking for vintage headbands and rings, and tomorrow night i'm going camping with my girls in one of my best friends' backyards. yep. we're the kind of friends that will seriously set up a huge tent in a backyard. but yeah. it's fun. i'm having fun.

so sorry about that. anyway.

summer's almost over. school starts (conveniantely) ONE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY. which happens to be next week.

gordon hayward... <3
Kay, so pretty much everyone who lives in Illinois is a basketball fan. NCAA March Madness, NBA, whatever. And that beautiful, amazing boy up there? Gordon Hayward. If you don't know who he is, I'm giving you a virtual slap right now. He's going to the NBA draft (which is TONIGHT) and he played for Butler University (#20), leading them to the NCAA championship game (against Duke, which i attended at the Lucas Oil Stadium in indy.. omigosh i will never forget his attempt at the buzzer beater.. my heart seriously STOPPED for two seconds). He's amazing :) and ahem, my future husband!

it's really actually quite possible. we both love basketball (i'm really more of a watcher than a player, though). his major is computer engineering, which is my mom AND dad's major. he used to play tennis, which my dad used to play. he has a twin sister named heather. i have a friend named heather and my stepbrothers are twins. aaaaaand we're only 4 years apart in age!! WHOPEEE. it's gonna happen. we'll get married. you just wait and see ;)

i hope he gets drafted by the Indiana Pacers cause then his games will be within driving distance. if Utah Jazz pick him up, then i'm screwed cause you can't drive to Utah from Illinois.

Okay, on a completely unrelated note, how suhweet are those shoes?!?!

summer breeze, makes me feel fine

summer breeze, makes me feel fine
I LOVE SUMMER. just wanted to get that out there. seriously, it's the best season ever. i went to a bonfire at the lake last night, and it was so much fun, and today i'm going to the pool with some friends. the sky is like, this bright blue, with no clouds. the air is breezy and perfect, and the grass is green. seriously, you don't get something like this in any other season.

anyway, i'm listening to that song right now. i made a summer-themed playlist for my ipod. cheesy, but, well, i was bored.
i miss your blue eyes, and how you kiss me at night
i really have nothing to say in this set.

oh, except that Pretty Little Liars is on tonight. i read the books, and they were amazing (who's read Wanted? wow, total surprise twist that i did NOT see coming), but idk, the show was.. good, but not as good as the books. like, emily and spencer? they're supposed to be blonde. spencer looks like she's 35, and melissa looks like she could be her mom.

anyway, let's stop talking about how hollywood ruins books (THE LAST SONG... miley totally ruined nicholas sparks books for me) and move on.... (:

today i went to the lake with my friends, but it started raining, so we walked to Dairy Queen. omigosh, DQ actually had reeeaally good cheeseburgers! you'd never guess cause they're known more for their ice cream, ya know? but they're not half bad! i actually like them and i'd go back again for another one if i could.

oh, and we walked there in the rain. so i got SOAKED and i'm fairly certain i was on the verge of getting a cold (if it weren't for the fact that it's summer and no one gets colds in summer, haha).

oh, and i'm in the mood for sushi. i had these great California rolls at a place called Sushigawa, and they were so good! like super super good. i love that place, but it's a little pricey. and i'm not going to get sushi tonight becuase tonight is Buffalo Wild Wings Tuesday.. where their wings are 20% off or something. which isn't bad, because i love BWW. i always get the asian zing wings or the spicy garlic. :)

speaking of wings, i love Wing Stop too! their lemon pepper wings are the best in illinois, i swear.

at least i dont have to cook tonight. i made breakfast this morning.. breakfast casserole. like, bacon, sausage, eggs, and potatoes in a casserole? sounds gross, but it's delicious and actually healthy. because of the portion sizes, and i dont use the fatty part of the bacon. :)

oh wow, i love how at the beginning i said i had nothing to say, and now i'm wrapping up a loong description. ahaha i'm fickle like that.
